I agree – night imaging is something special. The fact that the two bridges aren’t parallell brings discreet life and motion to the image.

Great idea to put two bridges horizontally and create a perspective picture like that. Nice work!
The front bridge is a bit dark for HDR, is it intentionally?

Yea, the front bridge is dark in certain areas…mostly because from the perspective the shot was taken from there was zero light on the top of the pillar and the underside of the road. To get those sections exposed would have caused dramatic ghosting due to the required shutter speed/reciprocity, cause/effect and other parts of the image would have blown out highlights. This image was taken close to midnight. To actually get the front/underside part of the bridge exposed would have required a 5, 7 or 9 bracketed set, creating a different set of problems with really long exposure times, movement on the river, etc.
Here’s a second image from a different angle with much more manageable dynamic range and exposure time…

Thanks for explanations! Yes, it would indeed be a bit tricky to have a good exposure on all subjects.
However, there is a little technique I learned useful for complex-lit subjects as this one. It requires basically to take one more exposure to get the dark object correctly exposed. After that one would need to tonemap that single RAW file with same settings as the main HDR so they look alike. Then, by using layers in photo editor it will be possible to mask the dark section in main picture and replace it with a properly lit one from single tonemapped file.
It is more work, but useful in some cases.
