Sandy- thanks so much for the generous review.
Gracie- I’m fascinated with trying to get those rich, but realistic colors.
Sue- the hdr stuff tends to make images look somewhat like illustrations, which I obviously enjoy. “Under The Bridge” image, when opened up at full size, is amazingly like an illustration to my eye.

The interesting thing about this hdr thing is that, unlike traditional photography where you see a scene and you can automatically know how it will reproduce or how to capture it the way you want to capture it, I’ve yet to be able to preconceive what a scene will look like as an hdr. That all may be due to the fact that I have been shooting “normal” photos for many years, but have only recently been shooting hdrs.
The post production of shot images in hdr software is really an exciting experience. I highly recommend dipping your toe into hdr.

Nice shot.. Either you did some serious cloning or it was was unusually empty that day. Either way, great job, it has that surreal look with out going over the edge like some bad HDRs you see out there.

I love an amusement park shot any day, but Coney Island in HDR is really special. Never been there but still intrigued by the history and romance of the famed park. Your HDR rendering is exquisite here. Love it!

I love this picture. This is Coney Island, correct? I was there a few summers ago.

You said this is a 7 exposure picture.. I’ve read about this in some of my magazines.. You use photoshop to layer them? Can you point me in any direction where I might learn more about this?

Beautiful. Colors are great. The photo is entertaining as well as showing entertainment. It makes me think of childhood wonders and seeing the magic as I did as a child. The colors are amazing. Like looking at a Christmas tree of lights on Christmas morning

I’m not quite sure if I should like or dislike HDR… somehow HDR always looks like computer generated (*lol* indeed it IS computer generated) graphics. I can’t find anything natural in this technic.

really good one i love the blurred effect on the wheel… the lights in the right are the only thing that tear the eye away in a not so good way..
