    • Her name is Rosie Guarino. Shot by the gardener at her mother’s summer home in New Jersey in 1909.
      The gardener had a duspute with the maid and Rosie Dismissed him. He came back and shot the maid and Rosie ran to comfort her, then he shot Rosie. Rosie died, the maid lived.

  3. This photo appears in a book of photos called Green-Wood Cemetery. The publisher of the book is Arcadia Publishing and the authors name is Alexandria Mosca. On the page with the photo the story behind the monument is told.
